Hearing Clinics of Virginia provided me with an excellent hearing evaluation, in an atmosphere free of any pressure to buy hearing aids. I was shown a number of makes and models and given several choices of service plans. Dr. Bryant and his staff have been exceptionally patient and attentive to my hearing needs. It took several office visits to obtain a perfect fit of the hearing aids, but HCVA was always ready to make adjustments until I was comfortable with these devices. - Ned Swartz, Ed.D., University of Richmond

I was at work on a conference call when all of the sudden I went stone deaf, the doctors called it a nerve stroke. I received help at the University of Tennessee, when I moved back to Richmond, the University recommended one man, Dr. Frank Butts. I have been going to him for over 20 years and sent over 100 patients to him. For some he has cleaned their ears and sent them home, others he referred for surgery. I estimate only 20% needed hearing aids. Unusual, you bet, but this is known as helping a patient. - Harry Kline

After a good night’s sleep October 8, I awoke to a “not-so-good” morning on Saturday, the 9th. There, sitting in a glass of water, were my much needed hearing aids. I apparently knocked them off the night table to the open drawer where I keep a glass of water. What to do? Hesitantly, I telephone my audiologist, Kim Bryant, after hours asking for advice. Before I had time to think—there she was with her son and his friend at the door. Really! She took them and said “not to worry.” To make a long story short, one of the hearing aids took only her own talent to repair, but the other one was sent to the manufacturer. Now they are working fine.” - Fritzie Sinclair
